Glass Art II: Intermediate Fused Glass Techniques

Prerequisite:  Glass Art I: Fused Glass Basics

In this weekend course participants will build on the basics of glass fusing from Glass Art I: Fused Glass Basics, and work with a variety of glass materials.  Students will build on their knowledge of kiln formed glass including fundamental fusing terminology, techniques, and principles as well as an introduction to more specialized glass fusing equipment and more complex firing schedules.  Each student will complete a fused glass blank and design, fuse, and slump a functional piece of glass art.  Each piece will be a one-of-a-kind piece of art.  The completed fired pieces will be available for pick-up the following week

 

Refund Policy

Withdrawal from courses: Students may withdraw from a course at any time. A $75 withdrawal fee is charged for withdrawing from a course prior to course start date. No course refund is processed after this time. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal.
The Arts & Sciences Non-Credit Programming Unit reserves the right to cancel courses when there is insufficient enrollment, in these cases a full refund will be issued. No transfers will be allowed from one term to another term. If a class is cancelled during the term, these hours will be rescheduled and made up. However, if a student misses a class, no rescheduling or make up classes occur.
